Dr. Omar Jeroudi graduated with Highest Honors from the University of Texas at Austin with a BA in Biochemistry. He earned his MD from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School where he continued on to complete his internship and residency training in Internal Medicine. His research and academic pursuits during residency earned him the Most Published Resident award in the Department of Medicine. As a native Houstonian, he came back to train as a fellow in Cardiovascular Diseases and Interventional Cardiology at the Houston Methodist Hospital DeBakey Heart and Vascular Center. While in his fellowship, he earned the prestigious H. Liston Beazley Award for Clinical Excellence in recognition of excellence in clinical practice, professionalism, and humanitarianism.

Since he trained as a fellow at the prestigious imaging center of the Methodist DeBakey Heart and Vascular Center, he has extensive training in cardiovascular imaging and is board certified and a Diplomate in both Nuclear Cardiology and Adult Comprehensive Echocardiography. He is also trained in Vascular Ultrasound and is a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation. Furthermore, he is board eligible and trained in Cardiovascular CT (Level II) at one of the highest volume centers in the country. Dr. Jeroudi’s imaging expertise gives him an edge when it comes to the interplay of cardiac imaging and complex procedural cases.

His procedural area of expertise is complex coronary, peripheral vascular interventions, and transradial cardiac catheterization. He is also experienced in and trained in structural heart interventions including transcatheter aortic valve implantation / replacement (TAVI / TAVR) and patent foramen ovale (PFO) closure, Impella®️ left ventricular assist device insertion for high-risk percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) and cardiogenic shock, carotid artery stenting, intracoronary imaging and physiology, and several different types of atherectomy devices among other procedures he offers.
